Gaza Water Crisis Due to the war on Gaza, access to water is at an all-time low, and the water that people can access is often contaminated and unfit for human consumption. But change is possible. Our Gaza aid efforts are focused on transforming this crisis by providing clean, safe water to families in need. Your support can make a real difference—donate today to help bring life-saving change to Gaza. The bombs that have devastated Gaza have destroyed much of the region's water and sanitation facilities. Survivors face not only bombings, eviction and famine but also severe water scarcity. Over 70% of people in Gaza are drinking contaminated water, leading to disease and illness. Clean drinking water has become so scarce that families resort to collecting rainwater for survival. Damaged water filtration systems have caused raw sewage to flow unchecked, spreading bacteria and disease. This crisis disproportionately affects children, leaving them more vulnerable to dehydration, malnutrition and disease. Our water aid Gaza program is working to restore access to clean water and reduce the suffering caused by this dire situation. Water is a Basic Human Right Water should bring hope and sustain life—not be a source of fear and illness. The people of Gaza are being denied this basic human right. There is now an urgent need for a reliable supply of safe water, improved sanitation, and proper hygiene to save lives. Access to clean water is essential for families to drink, cook and wash, for hospitals to treat the injured, and for communities to recover.
